Replace fixed Arial, 7 px meter scale font with the font used
for VolumeMeter/QWidget. Add qproperties for meter bar thickness and
a scaling factor for the meter scale numbers. If not specified in a
QSS, defaults are 3 pixel bar width and 80% of base font size.
This uses the SetWindowDisplayAffinity API to hide windows from capture
applications (including OBS). This is not perfect - internal windows
such as context menus, combo box dropdowns, etc will still be displayed.
Even with these limitations, it should help people with single monitors
capture content with less interference from the OBS window.
This implementation is for Windows only but the code is generic enough
that adding other platforms should be straightforward.
This commit adds a setting to reset timestamps when splitting files.
Some NLEs cannot handle video files whose starting timestamp is not
zero. Default is enabed.
This commit implements a new feature to split recordings in split files
in Advanced output mode.
These basic settings are implemented.
- Enable/disable the feature. Default is disabled.
- Select a type of the limit, time or size.
- Specifies the limit in seconds or MiB.
(This commit also modifies UI)
This makes it more trivial for encoder plugins to communicate to users
why specifically an encoder error might have occurred mid-stream.
Plugins using a QListView widget (e.g. obs-ptz) do not get the theme
settings that are applied to QListWidget. However, QListWidget directly
inherits from QListView, so a theme specifying the QListView will also
get applied to QListWidget. Change the themes to all specify QListView
so that theming is consistent.

When a profile changes settings that require a restart, show a dialog to
ask the user whether they'd like to restart.

Adds a new setting to the general OBS settings, which can be checked
in order to no longer show the "confirm close" dialog when there are
still streams/recordings running.
Reorder styling so that checked buttons can still
get hover styling.
Add a distinct background color for disabled
buttons. Fixes the text being the same color
as the button when disabled.
The helper link associated with starting a scheduled broadcast was not
helpful, as it linked to developer API documentation. Instead, have the
helper widget pop up a tooltip so the user understands what it is doing,
and adjust the wording slightly so that the user knows it's a setting
primarily used for scheduled broadcasts (normal streams always start
right away)
Adds an entry to the "Scene Collection" tab of the menu bar that makes
the missing files dialog come back in case it got dismissed of files got
removed while OBS was open
Adds the ability to provide translated messages for YouTube API erorr
reasons.
Also adds translation for various internal errors that were previously
hardcoded to english.
Minor changes to existing translation strings to improve
translatability.
Adds a "18 Scenes" multiview option. The 18 scene view leaves the
preview and program sized to the upper half of the window
Settings index in combobox may not match up with enum index. Settings
in the dropdown can now be ordered separately from the enum order.
(Additional note by Jim: Apparently, dacast doesn't use "stream key" for
whatever reason on its website, so this commit apparently changes the
text "Stream Key" to "Encoder Key" or whatever for whatever reason I'll
never know. I guess we need arbitrary names for things these days
because services can't get their names in order or something. Whatever.
I'm seriously tired of dealing with this sort of stuff. Seriously, this
is just dumb. This is dumb, and I wish I wasn't merging it, but at this
point, I'm like, whatever. I don't care. I've stopped caring. Why should
I care anymore? I'm losing it. I am absolutely losing it.)
Rather than forcing the user to close the advanced audio properties
window in order to obtain an undo/redo action, use explicit undo/redo
actions for each widget change in the advanced audio properties dialog.
This shows notifications in the status bar with the following:
- When screenshot is saved
- When replay buffer is saved
- When recording is saved
- When recording is auto remuxed
This setting, although technically different from the one in the
streaming section of settings, is superseded by that setting.
The setting can still be used via ini file if an actual custom rate
control or keyframe interval is needed.
This commit fixes various issues with screen readers in the main OBS
interface. These were tested using NVDA on Windows 10 2004.
Audio track selection in Settings now says Track 1, 2, etc, rather than
just the number.
Various checkboxes that just say "Enable" now have accessible text that
says what the enable is for (since it says "checkbox", the fact it's an
enable should hopefully be clear).
Type in the recording tab of output now has accessible text which says
"Recording Type".
Items in the Advanced Audio Properties window now have accessible text
for what they are for. Currently some do not report correct values, but
that will require an accessible interface in Qt to be written
specifically for that, which will be done at a later date.
Buttons in the filters window now have accessible text for what they do.
All the right side buttons in hotkeys now have tooltips, and by
extension, accessible text.
Allows services to limit and enforce resolution and framerate values the
user can select in the UI if "ignore service recommendations" is not
checked. If the "ignore service recommendations" option is not checked,
the user will not be able to select or use a resolution and/or framerate
in the user interface that the service does not support. If "ignore
service recommendations" is checked, it will work as it normally would,
allowing any value to be used as per normal.
Fortunately, and hopefully for the foreseeable future, there is only one
service that enforces resolutions and framerates.
Moves the "Enforce streaming service bitrate" option from simple output
mode to the stream section, renames it to "Ignore streaming service
setting recommendations" (inverting it). When trying to check it, it
will now also display a message box warning the user that it's generally
a not-so-good idea.
Also displays recommended settings for the service.
Adds a VOD track option (specific to Twitch) that allows a user to
specify which audio track to use for their Twitch VODs, which uses a
separate encoder to encode the track. This allows users the ability to
choose what audio goes on their VOD, separately from the live stream.
New profile state is similar to first start: settings are wiped, encoders
not setup. It may make sense to show the auto configuration wizard when
a new profile is made as well.
There is a checkbox option to show the wizard. If a profile is created
with the checkbox off, the checkbox will remain defaulted to off next
prompt.
(Jim) Allows the ability to get a link from the service's settings about
a specific service selection the user chooses and display it as a "More
Info" button that the user can click to find out more information about
that particular service.
The source toolbar allows quick and easy access to properties and
filers, and shows common properties/features of a source type. For
example, when you select a media source, VLC source, or the slideshow
source, you'll get media controls to control playback of the media. If
you select a text source you can edit the font, color, or text if
applicable. Or if you select a capture source, you can select the
display/window/etc to capture for that source.
If the source toolbar is not desired and is viewed as taking up valuable
space in the window, it can be disabled via the view menu.

This adds a check when compiling for linux to check for a ChromeOS
container specific directory. If this directory exists OBS will fail to
start with an error that ChromeOS is unsupported.
Adds a virtual camera button to the main user interface. If virtual
camera is not installed, it will not add the button. On Windows, it
detects whether the virtual camera filters are properly registered, and
will only add the button if the virtual camera filter is confirmed
registered.
Also adds a virtual camera option to the auto-configuration wizard,
which will just simply set the user's resolution/scale to 1920x1080 at
30 FPS.
Adds an option to the context menu of a windowed projector to allow
resizing the aspect ratio of the client area of the window to the
contents of what's being projected (so that there's no extra space).
The files on disk are lower-case but QSS refrences them in
upper-case. Windows doesn't report errors as the platform isn't case
sensitive. Error messages are generated and icons not to render on
case sensitive platforms such as Linux and Mac
This replaces the previous Open File dialog for importing collections
with a window for importing many collections at once, based on the remux
window, along with support for importing from OBS Classic, XSplit
Broadcaster and from Streamlabs' fork. This also translates sources
between OSes that Studio supports.
When we use the server error to respond to user's failing to start a
stream it is slow to return an error and unclear to the user what went
wrong. This diff introduces a simple settings check before attempting
to stream and catch and explain specific URL/key issues to the user.
In the case of preset services we check there is a Stream Key before
attempting to start a stream.
In the case of "custom" we only verify there is a URL since for some
services that's all that is required or the user may use user/password
authentication.
Adds an option to the right click menu in the scenes widget to switch
modes. When in regular list mode, it'll let you select grid mode, and in
grid mode, it'll let you select list mode. Grid mode changes the scenes
widget to have a grid of buttons for scenes rather than a list, much
like XSplit.
