This repo documents the origin of several model files used by various Minetest mob packs, to help find the original project files and authors. For the upstreams, see the GitHub copy of this repo. Most of the branches are generally not able to be merged automatically due to the mobs being added to the mobs mod itself in forks rather than as separate mob packs requiring the "mobs" mod. In other words, PilzAdam's Simple Mobs wasn't being treated as an API but rather as a mod containing mobs, which is the way prior entities were constructed that predate Simple Mobs. Finding the author can be either used for credit or lead to where to find the original blend files in some cases (If available at at all), usually in separate repos or forum attachments. In some cases an author such as AspireMint (not the coder or committer) created the 3D model file(s) and the credits are not found even in the upstream fork's repo but rather on a forum post for the fork. https://wiki.minetest.org/Mobs#Some_mobs_history

=== MOB API for MINETEST ===
by PilzAdam, ElectricSolstice

Inroduction:
This mod adds a basic api for mods to add mobs into the game.

How to install:
Unzip the archive an place it in minetest-base-directory/mods/
if you have a windows client or a linux run-in-place client. If you have
a linux system-wide instalation place it in ~/.minetest/mods/.
For further information or help see:
http://wiki.minetest.com/wiki/Installing_Mods

Minetest's damage system:
The damage system in Minetest is more complex than just hold down the left mouse button. After the first punch your hand or weapon has a "reload" time. This is for most weapons 1 second. After the reload time the player can punch again.
