[Dec 2nd - Dec 22nd] Major Update: The Greatest Update

THIS UPDATE CONTAINS BREAKING CHANGES!!

I am running out of names for updates extremely fast.

Notable Game Changes:

  • Added Doors
  • Added Signs
  • Improved Fences

  • Added Reinforced Glass
  • Replaced Spawnpoints with a item
  • Added Pigs along with Raw and Cooked Pork
  • Improved hudbars

  • Added many new commands, while also improving some builtin Luanti ones.
  • Redesign the electricity system using a system similar to Age of Mending's wiring system
  • New electricity devices and components:
    • Dropper

  • Re-added sprinting!
  • Added Magic Wands
  • Added Golden Apples and Spellbooks of Healing
  • Added Lightning

  • Added Mana to balance Magic, when you don't have enough Mana to use something your magic tool get's a mind of it's own and damages a 3rd of your health.

Other Game Changes:

  • Pickaxes are now able to dig nodes with crumbly group (Grass, Dirt, Sand, etc.) quickly
  • Added setting explosion_damage which is true by default
  • Fix dye recipes
  • Forgot Oil existed in this game, add a new texture to it.
  • Added Acid and Oil buckets
  • Added "Hand Strength" item to emulate the strength of the hand of survival mode in creative mode.
  • Make Fireworks faster
  • Added stick group for sticks
  • Added Bones to the stick group, why not?
  • Removed Beaches from IceSpikes biome

  • Added a crafting recipe for Weak Ice

[Dec 1st] Unnamed Minor Update

  • New Birch Log texture
  • Fix various biomes not generating
  • Oceans now use Sand instead of Gravel
  • Seperate code for small decorations from trees.lua into flowers.lua

[Dec 1st] Bugfix Update

  • Increase normal biome height
  • Make Desert biome use normal height instead of highlands

[Nov 3rd - Dec 1st] Update: The "Another update with no special name" Update

I should just start giving updates a version number to avoid naming updates.

  • Added various new sounds
  • Give Fire an animated texture
  • Added a Sky Dimension for people using floatlands mapgen setting in v7
  • Added Fireworks!
  • Grass Plants and Ferns now require Shears to be obtained
  • Added Paper
  • Added various new colored blocks variants (How will I make flowers for all of these?)
  • Crates now drop what's contained inside of them instead of not allowing the player to destroy it.
  • Fire will now disappear after a while unless on a node with fire_persist group
  • Give the fire_persist group the the following nodes:
    • Magma
    • Molten Rock
  • Reduced amount of privellges gained in Creative Mode
  • Change description of wood blocks to planks
  • Remove "Block" from a bunch of item names excluding ore blocks
  • Fire is no longer in the creative inventory

[Oct 20th - Nov 2nd] Update: The Something Update

  • Make some changes to world generation
  • World Tokens now use Lua Voxel Manipulators instead of waiting a set time. This makes the spawn area much larger though...
  • Added emits_heat group to the following nodes:
    • Torch
    • Fire
    • Lava
  • Water freezes in cold biomes if not neighbouring heat emiting nodes
  • New lily pad texture
  • Add Time Device, it is not craftable in Survival mode and is only for Creative mode.
  • Improve death messages
  • Added stats which can improve your defense and attack capabilities
    • Defense stat is only applied when your health is greater than one fourth of it!
    • Added upgrade runes which can be used to improve your defense and attack stats
  • Added buckets
  • Added beaches
  • Added various small overworld features
  • Added Weak Ice
  • Adjusted mining speeds of various tools
  • Crops now take much longer to grow instead of just a couple seconds
  • Added new API function PyuTest.make_ore which creates an ore but not an item
  • Added the Magic Shards Ore which can be found in the Lava World
  • Remove the Slime and Mushroom world because adding content for all 5 different worlds is gonna be hard.
  • Water and Lava now have "chemical reactions"
  • Added Calcite
  • Added Pumpkins
  • Removed Frying Pans, why did I even add them for cooking food when we can just use furnaces?
  • Since obsidian in real life is not that strong, make obsidian the same level as stone
  • Added ability to delete homes with /deletehome
  • Added a way to duplicate grass by combining it with dirt

  • Start working on a new entity API to replace mobs_redo
  • Added many new foods
    • Added Carrots

    • Added French Fries which can be made from frying Sliced Potatoes

[Oct 6th - Oct 12th 2024] Update: Texture Update

This update contains breaking changes due to the grass revamp

  • Change the games style in terms of textures
  • Creative block breaking speed increased
  • "Revamped" grass
  • Added Bedrock as a barrier between worlds
  • Removed enchanted obsidian, more ways to obtain magic shards will be added in the future

[Oct 6th 2024] Unnamed Minor Update

  • Make monsters spawn less
  • Update every node still using the old block group

[Oct 5th 2024] Unnamed Minor Update

  • Overworld bottom goes from -200 to -65
  • Monsters should spawn much more
  • Change pickaxe digging speeds

[Sep 29th - Oct 5th 2024] Update: World Update

This update completely breaks the API and game lol.

The entire codebase was also refactored, which ended up breaking all the schematics. So I had to go through the tedious process and fix them all.

  • Added "Worlds" which are like Minecraft's own Dimensions
    • Added Ice World
    • Added Slime World
    • Added Lava World
    • Added Mushroom World
  • Added Darkstone
  • Added Glowslime
  • Added Magma
  • Give the Heater Device and Freezer Device more abilities with new heatable and coolable groups
  • Added World Tokens which let you travel between worlds
  • Added Fossils
  • Removed Vyn Forest, Old Growth Forest and Jungle
  • Zinc wires are now configurable like Minecraft's Redstone Repeater; It comes in 4 different levels:
    • 1 = 0.1 seconds
    • 2 = 0.2 seconds
    • 3 = 0.4 seconds
    • 4 = 0.8 seconds
  • Replaced Purple Mushrooms with Glowshrooms
  • Added Homes System
  • Removed Waypoints System
  • Added Flint and Flint and Steel

[Sep 29th 2024] Unnamed Minor Update

  • Replace Delayer Wire with Zinc Wire, giving Zinc a purpose
  • Give explosions more particles, including sparks
  • Change default_stack_max to 999
  • TNT will no longer explode if the TNT block has been removed
  • Fixed lily pads appearance
  • Windballs launch you forward a bit less now
  • Replace electricity group with electric

[Sep 27th - Sep 28th 2024] Update: The Electricity Update

  • Add a new electricity system to replace the old discontinued one
  • Added "devices":
    • Freezer Device (Freezes nodes with freezable group)
    • Heater Device (Thaws nodes with thawable group (Converts to water by default, __thaw_node in the node definition can change this))
  • Added wires:
    • Copper Wire
    • Delayer Wire (Like Copper Wire but waits 0.2 seconds before sending a pulse, meaning 5 delayers = 1 second)
  • Humans now have a chance to drop 1 to 4 apples.

[Sep 3rd - Sep 4th 2024] Unnamed Minor Update

  • Vyn forest is now a snowy forest like biome
  • Decorations no longer spawn in flat worlds
  • Added biome "flat" which is only available in flat worlds
  • Nodes like torches are now floodable
  • Windballs now launch you in the direction you're moving at the cost of reduced launch height
  • Started a wiki for players
