Introduction
By default, NodeCore is a pretty minimalistic game in terms of building, featuring e.g. only 5 concrete types (with colors: white, gray, yellow, brown and black). In my opinion, concrete is a fantastic feature, and coupled with the lack of building blocks, led me to create my 1st ever mod: NB* more concrete.
When you enable it, you will be able to discover (for now) 2 more types of concrete, setting a new building adventure open.
The new concretes have different colors than the 5 default ones, which enables building much more sophisticated structures than ever before. With the power of 2 new series of blocks, you will be able to realise your imagination more accurately than ever before. Or maybe I'm just overreacting...
If you want to skip discovery or already found out all of the new concretes and are curious about the 'concretesolution' file, then feel free to take a look at it. It is a draft of the new concretes I have been writing during the making of this mod, which I have kept for historical/curiosity purposes.
N.B. that this mod is still Work In Progress (WIP), and the textures and recipes are subject to change (just like the amount of concrete)
TODO/future features
- More concretes
- Should be creatable with a granular block or something that makes sense
- Could fit with the rest of the basic colors (or others?): Red, Purple, Pink
Note
- NB - I was thinking of naming my mods similarly to winterknight (who appended 'wc', meaning 'wintercore', to the start of his mod names) and making them easier to distinguish from others (this is also recommended by the CONTRIBUTING file of NodeCore, but Warr1024 disagreed merging of a mod like this, I asked him before writing it) I came up with 'NB', because I found the shortcut 'N.B.', which stands for 'note well' (nota bene), used in the descriptions of Warr1024's NodeCore and (some) mods. I think this could mean e.g. 'NodeBene', but I didn't explicitely define the meaning and will just use the abbrevation 'NB' like the NodeCore descs did with nota bene (N.B.).
