From acf895004165fe845c61e2c7ece4c3e2d03021d3 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Jan-Erik Rediger Date: Wed, 20 Apr 2016 17:50:49 +0200 Subject: [PATCH] fix: Rename DEBUG to DEBUG_FLAGS This avoids issues with environments where DEBUG is set to an arbitrary value to force debug mode in other tools. BREAKING CHANGE: This breaks builds that explicitely set `DEBUG` to some value (even the empty value). To get back the old behaviour change the `DEBUG_FLAGS` variable now. --- Makefile | 4 ++-- 1 file changed, 2 insertions(+), 2 deletions(-) diff --git a/Makefile b/Makefile index cff2a84..9a4de83 100644 --- a/Makefile +++ b/Makefile @@ -40,8 +40,8 @@ CC:=$(shell sh -c 'type $(CC) >/dev/null 2>/dev/null && echo $(CC) || echo gcc') CXX:=$(shell sh -c 'type $(CXX) >/dev/null 2>/dev/null && echo $(CXX) || echo g++') OPTIMIZATION?=-O3 WARNINGS=-Wall -W -Wstrict-prototypes -Wwrite-strings -DEBUG?= -g -ggdb -REAL_CFLAGS=$(OPTIMIZATION) -fPIC $(CFLAGS) $(WARNINGS) $(DEBUG) $(ARCH) +DEBUG_FLAGS?= -g -ggdb +REAL_CFLAGS=$(OPTIMIZATION) -fPIC $(CFLAGS) $(WARNINGS) $(DEBUG_FLAGS) $(ARCH) REAL_LDFLAGS=$(LDFLAGS) $(ARCH) DYLIBSUFFIX=so
